Happy New Year!
Looking back, Realizing Resonance had a wonderful year in 2024. I released my second album, Always Becoming, bringing in electric guitar for a new rocking sound. On Spotify, this led to Realizing Resonance having 853 listeners and over 3k streams in 2024, which is around triple the numbers from 2023. On YouTube, I was blessed with over 5k new subscribers and 4 of my videos received over 10k views each, including “Cassandra”, which got over 100k views. These aren’t Taylor Swift numbers, for me it’s incredible. Thank you to everyone who listened to my songs and watched my videos in 2024!
Let’s see if we can go even higher in 2025. I will be releasing the third Realizing Resonance album, That Sounds Profound, throughout the year. In fact, I will be releasing one song a month for the next 12 months, culminating in the release of the title track in December. Each song will have a music video and some interesting blog articles to accompany it. That Sounds Profound is my best compilation of songs yet, dabbling in a range of soundscapes and musical contours, with philosophical lyrics that…well, that sound profound. If you like guitar, you will love this album. If you enjoy contemplating meaningful concepts, you will love this album.
I will be releasing the first song from the album, “Epistemic Crisis”, on January 17th. “Epistemic Crisis” is a rocker with powerful guitar riffs, a driving beat, and expressive vocals. The song deals with the troubles of our new post-truth era, where “channels of confusion” have disrupted the very notion of a “shared reality.” A provocative music video explores the themes of politics and media, including some AI generated politicians. To accompany the song, blog articles about the very geeky subject of Epistemology will be written by my AI minions. On top of all that, I will be releasing daily (most days) video shorts to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Threads, which most of the time will be me improvising something on guitar.
